Advanced radiation therapy patients have access to the latest options for their cancer treatment—including new radiation therapy methods that allow tumors to be treated without anesthesia or incisions. Patients who undergo this treatment also don't require a recovery period, so they can return to normal activities much faster than if they had received traditional radiation therapy.
We can use this technology to treat a variety of cancers with a remarkable degree of accuracy. You'll also complete therapy in one to five sessions, whereas traditional radiation therapy takes weeks.
Cancer screening and genetic testing
Through our clinical cancer genetics programs, you can receive genetic counseling and testing for all types of cancer and hereditary cancer syndromes. This testing can help high-risk individuals and families before cancer occurs.
If you have questions about genetic counseling, cancer risk or insurance coverage, call the cancer genetics office at (972) 566-4119.
