Multidisciplinary specialists on the Medical City Dallas liver transplant team include a transplant hepatologist, transplant surgeons, other specialty physicians, a transplant coordinator, nurse practitioner, social workers, clinical dietitians and other support staff.

If you’re a candidate for liver transplantation surgery, coordinators will provide step-by-step guidance, education and support from pre-transplant testing through surgery and post-transplant care.

Medical City Healthcare participates in UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing), a nationwide program whose mission is to increase the number of organs recovered and the number of transplants performed, as well as to ensure equitable access to transplant for all patients.
