School Nurse Education Series
Supporting School Nurses, Strengthening Communities
Medical City Healthcare’s School Nurse Education Series equips school nurses across North Texas with free, high-quality clinical training to support student health and safety.
Medical City Healthcare’s School Nurse Education Series launched in 2017 as part of our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve. Recognizing the critical role that school nurses play in the health and well-being of children, this program is designed to provide high-quality clinical education tailored to the unique needs of school nurses.
Each year, Medical City Healthcare hospitals across North Texas host professional development days for school nurses in their area, led by our subject matter experts. These sessions cover current health trends in pediatric care and provide valuable contact hours, at no cost, for school nurses to help maintain their licenses – offering school districts both a financial benefit and a knowledge-rich experience for their nurses.

Impact
We’re proud to share that over 95% of participating nurses in 2024–25 reported they plan to implement changes in their practice based on what they learned.
