Nursing Education Simulation Center
The HCA Healthcare Center for Clinical Advancement (HHCCA) provides Medical City Healthcare colleagues with a leading-edge learning environment. The HHCCA is designed to maximize education, simulation and innovation to improve clinical quality and the patient care experience across North Texas.
At its heart is a training center that gives Medical City Healthcare nurses and nurse residents a simulation of an actual healthcare setting. The facility is custom-designed to reflect patient care environments, complete with advanced simulation equipment and technology that includes high-fidelity, interactive mannequin “patients.” Special control rooms allow instructors to observe training participants as they learn new techniques or refresh existing skills.
The 37,000 square foot simulation center supports Medical City Healthcare’s 7,000-plus nurses and its nurse residency program. The center also provides workforce development and continued learning opportunities. Simulcast technology can facilitate education and training opportunities for colleagues working at locations across the Medical City Healthcare system.

- Five debriefing rooms
- Five high fidelity simulation rooms
- Dedicated resuscitation station
The HHCCA is the fourth such facility to be built in the HCA Healthcare system as part of the organization’s centralized clinical education model and represents a significant investment in patient care excellence.
In addition to simulated learning rooms and debriefing spaces, the center includes a learning resource auditorium and flexible classroom spaces to accommodate orientation and other educational events, including leadership and organizational development classes.
