Medical City Dallas Hospital's conferences cater to adult and pediatric neurologists, neurosurgeons and neuropsychologists, aiming for continued improvement in patient care.

Purpose and objectives

The purpose of the Epilepsy Case Conference Series is to achieve continued improvement in patient care by providing a venue for education and consultative services. The goal is to discuss management issues, following the hospital’s established protocol for the management of epilepsy cases. Emphasis will be placed on side effect prevention and management, treatment and management controversies, and reinforcement of optimal clinical/surgical care.


Specific objectives of each case conferences

  • Discuss the patient’s history
  • Review the diagnostic testing results, including neurological, psychological and radiological (MRI’s and EEG’s)
  • Assess various treatment options
  • Formulate a treatment plan

Target audience

The conferences will be directed to adult and pediatric neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists and neuropsychologists on staff. Clinical support staff involved in the management of the epilepsy patients will also be encouraged to attend.


Accreditation

Medical City Dallas Hospital is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
