Breast specialists with higher training
At our breast care centers, your mammogram is read by specialized breast imaging radiologists—some of the most highly trained and skilled breast specialists in the country. Our radiologists:
- Receive extra training on interpreting breast tissue and tissue changes seen in mammography
- Spend more than 80 percent of their time interpreting mammograms, including screening and diagnostics
- Are audited annually on their screening and interpretation skills
Advanced breast cancer care
If you are diagnosed with breast cancer, you'll have the support of a team of specialists in medical, surgical and radiation oncology, imaging, pathology, genetic counseling and physical medicine. They will work together with nurse navigators, oncology nurses and social workers to determine a breast cancer treatment plan that's right for you. Breast reconstruction
Breast reconstruction typically involves multiple stages, usually with a minimum of two surgeries. In most cases, the first surgery is the "biggest," with subsequent surgeries typically performed as outpatient procedures. For example, if a woman has a mastectomy (breast removal) to remove one breast, it may be necessary or desired to have a procedure involving the other breast to achieve symmetry.
