Outpatient primary care and mental health services
Not everyone has access to the everyday healthcare services they need, such as a primary care physician. This is critical for patient with mental health concerns because having access to both medical doctors and psychiatrists ensures integrated care that includes medication management, counseling and physical exams. We offer this level of care at The Oak Counseling and Psychiatric Services. Here, physicians, licensed counselors, psychiatric nurses and others, are committed to providing the mental, medical and physical support patients need to heal—all in one location.
Intensive treatment for mental illness
Part of our full-service behavioral health care includes a partial hospitalization program(PHP)—a highly structured, outpatient program that allows patients to return home at night. The PHP provides support for patients with mental health conditions and/or substance abuse problems requiring intensive, monitored treatment.
Patients who are able to benefit from this program are those who do not meet the standards for admission to an inpatient hospital unit, but still need psychiatric care. They can get this care from expert therapists and counselors in the PHP.
Outpatient program for drug and alcohol abuse
Individuals who have experienced a personal or professional crisis or drastic life event need specialized care to learn how to cope and thrive—this care is available at our WorkReturns℠ Clinic in Plano.
The WorkReturns℠ program is an IOP dedicated to helping patients deal with the emotional aspects associated with workplace transitions and changes in personal circumstances. The psychiatrists and staff that lead our program are here to help patients overcome the hurdles they are facing and instill a sense of confidence in returning to work and everyday life.
The WorkReturns℠ Clinic is a Medical City Green Oaks program but is located on the campus of our sister facility, Medical City Plano.
