Dallas – Ronnie Midgett has joined Medical City Healthcare as chief financial officer (CFO), replacing Wayne Martin, who retired in March after 25 years with HCA Healthcare.

In this role, Midgett will oversee the division's finance and accounting functions to advance Medical City Healthcare's mission to the care and improvement of human life.

“A respected leader with more than two decades of experience, Ronnie is known for his collaborative and innovative approach to driving value for patients and the community,” says Erol Akdamar, FACHE, president of Medical City Healthcare. “His financial acumen and strong track record will no doubt support our position in the market as the destination of choice for healthcare excellence across North Texas.”

Midgett joined HCA Healthcare in 1997, most recently serving as division CFO at Methodist Healthcare in San Antonio since 2018. Under his fiscal leadership, Methodist Healthcare embarked on a capital investment initiative, successfully adding five off-campus emergency rooms and a 42-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital while ensuring the continued improvement of patient care and service year over year. Prior to his role at Methodist Healthcare System, Ronnie served as the CFO of HCA Healthcare's Reston Hospital Center in Reston, VA, where he also had financial oversight of Stone Springs Hospital Center.

Midgett earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Charleston Southern University.
