Megan Gallegos, RN, has been named Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) of Medical City Lewisville, effective March 18.

Gallegos has more than ten years of nursing experience and currently serves as Medical City Lewisville’s interim CNO. She was most recently Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) of Medical City Fort Worth, where she oversaw inpatient nursing departments, wound care, transplant, education, and advanced practice providers, among other responsibilities.

Gallegos holds a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama, along with two Bachelor of Science degrees in Nursing and Biology. She is a Nurse Executive, Advanced-Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and an active member of the Texas Organization of Nurse Executives, American Organization of Nurse Executives, and the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is a 2018 graduate of the HCA Healthcare Executive Development Program and a 2016 HCA Innovator Award recipient for service excellence.
