Medical City Plano honored two years in a row

Plano, TX - Readers of DFW Child - Collin Edition magazine have recognized Medical City Plano as the Best Place to Have a Baby for the second year in a row.

"Medical City Plano is honored to be recognized by our community for our commitment to providing exceptional, high-quality and specialized care for mothers and babies," Medical City Plano CEO Carlton Ulmer said. "It is our privilege to help patients design a unique birthing experience just right for each mother, baby and family, while also offering the highest levels of medical care."

DFW Child - Collin Edition polled nearly 9,000 moms in November on "Best for Moms and Babies" preferences across multiple categories. Winners are published in the parenting magazine's February issue. Readers chose Medical City Plano as the Best Place to Have a Baby in Collin County, in part, because of the luxurious postpartum suites.

"Moms trust Medical City Plano on the big day for its plethora of amenities, services and on-site Level III NICU, should little ones need extra care upon arrival." according to the DFWChild - Collin Edition article. "In-room amenities include adjustable lighting, Spotify access, memory-foam beds, a kitchenette and a lounge area--after baby arrives, you might not want to leave. The hospital boasts a newborn nursery and photography services by Mom 365. Plus, to ensure every measure of safety, the labor and delivery nurses hold several life-saving certifications."

Medical City Plano was also honored for outstanding women's services in the Healthgrades 2019 Women's Care Awards. The hospital was among the top 10 percent nationally in providing outstanding quality outcomes.
