Brett Hartkopp, BSN, RN, will join Medical City Healthcare as vice president of quality on June 11.

Previously Hartkopp worked at Wesley Medical Center, an HCA Healthcare facility in Wichita, Kansas, where he served as VP of Quality and Infection Prevention. In his nine years at that facility, he helped lead and support a “Journey to Excellence Program,” which incorporates sustainable patient safety, quality care and continued regulatory readiness. Amongst other achievements, he also helped develop a sepsis outreach program across the state of Kansas which contributed to outcome improvements relating to 700 saved lives and helped launch a “quality app” to support nursing communication and sharing of best practices.

A registered nurse with boots on the ground background in ICU and infection prevention, Hartkopp has more than two decades of experience with quality processes, performance improvement, human factor design, team-based strategies and regulatory compliance. His insight and commitment to patient safety presents a valuable addition to the Medical City Healthcare team.
