Meet Nyla, a healthy, active 10-year-old. She came to Medical City Children's Hospital after collapsing at track practice one evening. Her coach performed CPR and Nyla was urgently brought into our ER for immediate care. She was transferred to our specialized Congenital Heart Surgery Program unit for further examination, where it was discovered that Nyla had an anomalous aortic origin of left coronary artery, an undetected heart defect. Lifesaving surgery was performed on Nyla's heart. Today, Nyla is doing well! She and her family are thankful for the compassionate, comprehensive care she received here. We are so proud of our brave patient!
