Dallas, Texas — Ten Medical City Healthcare hospitals have been recognized as 2025 Patient Safety Excellence Award recipients by Healthgrades for providing exceptional, patient-centered care. This annual recognition is given to the top 10% of hospitals.

Medical City Alliance, Medical City Arlington, Medical City Dallas, Medical City Denton, Medical City Fort Worth, Medical City Lewisville, Medical City McKinney, Medical City North Hills, Medical City Plano and Medical City Weatherford each earned the 2025 Patient Safety Excellence Award.

“Patient safety is always at the forefront of our priorities,” says Medical City Healthcare President Allen Harrison. “This recognition further distinguishes our system of care as the destination of choice for healthcare excellence and delivering safe, high-quality care for all of our patients and their families.”

Recognition on this list is based solely on patient outcomes. To determine the top-performing hospitals for patient safety, Healthgrades evaluated risk-adjusted complication and mortality rates for approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide. The annual study found that patients treated in hospitals that received the 2025 Patient Safety Excellence Award have a significantly lower chance of experiencing certain complications than patients treated at non-recipient hospitals.

“As 2025 Patient Safety Excellence Award recipients, these Medical City Healthcare hospitals consistently put the well-being of their patients and staff at the forefront, setting a high standard for patient safety nationwide,” says Debra Gradick, MD, FACEP, senior physician consultant at Healthgrades. “We commend them for providing consistently exceptional care while preventing serious injuries, giving patients their best chance of a seamless recovery.”
