Frisco, TX — Medical City Frisco recently celebrated the opening of a new inpatient rehabilitation unit with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Designed to help patients regain independence, the 8-bed unit will enable a dedicated team of doctors, nurses and therapists to provide customized rehab services in a healing environment. Adult patients can benefit from physical, occupational and speech therapy to focus on orthopedic, neurological and other complex medical issues to restore independence and assist in a safe return home.

Additional unit features include:

  • Leading edge equipment
  • Fully equipped kitchen with full-size appliances and bathroom to practice functional life skills
  • In-unit gym for physical and occupational therapy

“As part of our commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care, we are pleased to announce the expansion of these vitally necessary rehabilitation resources in Frisco,” says Neyaz Mohammadi, vice president of operations at Medical City Frisco. “The addition of this inpatient rehabilitation unit further positions Medical City Frisco as the destination of choice for comprehensive care in the growing Frisco community.”

The expansion is part of Medical City Healthcare’s major capital investment initiative of more than $1.7 billion spent or committed over five years, including building expansions, facility enhancements and leading-edge technology.
