Denton, TX — Glenn Hardesty, DO, has been named chief medical officer (CMO) at Medical City Denton and Medical City Argyle, a campus of Medical City Denton.

In this role, Dr. Hardesty will provide senior clinical direction for physicians and clinicians, lead quality efforts and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure patient safety, risk management, infection prevention and medical staff services.

Before joining Medical City Denton, Dr. Hardesty served as assistant CMO at Medical City Dallas since 2023, working across diverse and specialized service lines, including organ transplant, oncology, congenital craniofacial and NICU specialties. He has served in previous roles as a system medical director for medical staff affairs, acting CMO and attending physician.

Dr. Hardesty earned his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center after earning a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from Texas A&M University. He is board certified in emergency medicine and is a certified physician executive with the American Academy of Physician Leadership.
