Medical City Alliance named Straight A hospital after fifth consecutive "A" hospital safety grade.

November 20, 2024

Fort Worth, Texas Medical City Alliance has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. This marks the fifth consecutive cycle of earning the prestigious hospital safety grade.

Leapfrog assigns general hospitals across the country an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade based on over 30 performance measures and the systems hospitals have in place to prevent errors, accidents, injuries and infections.

“To receive an A grade for the fifth consecutive year validates our commitment to high-quality, safe patient care,” says Medical City Alliance CEO Glenn Wallace. “I am very proud of the excellent care our doctors, nurses and hospital colleagues provide daily to create healthier tomorrows for our community.”

“Achieving an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade is a significant accomplishment for Medical City Alliance,” says Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “It reflects enormous dedication to patients and their families, and the whole community should be proud. I extend my congratulations to Medical City Alliance, its leadership, clinicians, staff and volunteers for their tireless efforts to put patients first.”

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program focused on preventable medical errors, infections and injuries in the United States. This program is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
