Christina Mathis named Medical City Las Colinas CEO

Christina Mathis will serve as CEO of Medical City Las Colinas beginning March 17.

Irving — Christina Mathis was named chief executive officer (CEO) for Medical City Las Colinas, effective March 17.

Mathis previously served as CEO of Medical City Frisco since Nov. 2023. Under her leadership, the hospital experienced significant growth in services while also achieving Level III Trauma Center and Level III Maternal facility redesignations. Medical City Frisco was named one of Healthgrades' 250 Best Hospitals in 2023 and 2024.

Mathis began her HCA Healthcare career as an associate administrator at Medical City Plano in 2017 before being promoted to vice president of operations and assistant chief operating officer at the hospital. She then served as chief operating officer (COO) at HCA Healthcare’s St. David’s Georgetown Hospital and later as COO at Medical City Plano.

Mathis earned a Master of Health Care Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin. She’s also an active board member of the American College of Healthcare Executives North Texas chapter.
