Scheduling your weight-loss surgery
If you would like to schedule bariatric surgery with Medical City Las Colinas, we accept both self-referrals and physician referrals. Before surgery, you must first schedule an initial consultation with the bariatric care team.
Once it is determined that you are a bariatric surgery candidate, the team will work with you to decide which type of surgery is best for you.

Non-surgical weight-loss procedures
We also provide non-surgical gastric balloon procedures for patients who do not qualify for, or do not want to undergo, surgery. This procedure involves placing either one or two balloons in the patient's stomach and then filling them with a saline solution.
When filled with saline, the balloons help you lose weight by taking up room in your stomach. The balloons can stay in your stomach up to six months.

Before you embark on your weight-loss journey, we encourage you to participate in our online seminar. In this video series, you'll learn about the different types of bariatric surgery and what to expect before, during and after bariatric surgery.
Bariatric surgery support group
Our support group is designed to help you learn more about the different bariatric surgical options and receive encouragement from others on the weight-loss journey. Our support group is led by a nurse and features guest speakers who give presentations on topics pertaining to weight-loss.
We meet on the third Monday of every month from 6pm - 7:30pm in either Classroom 1, 2 or 3 at the following address:
