Fort Worth, Texas — The community is invited to the ninth annual “Spooktacular” celebration at Medical City Alliance on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10:00am - 2:00pm. The family-friendly event features music, free food and drinks, face painting, trick-or-treating for the kids, a costume contest, free health information and many more activities.

To support community members in need, this year’s Spooktacular attendees will be asked to donate one nonperishable food item per attendee for entry into the event. The food will be donated to Christ’s Haven, a Keller-based voluntary placement organization offering an option outside of traditional foster care.

“This family-oriented event extends our care for the community beyond our hospital doors,” says Glenn Wallace, CEO of Medical City Alliance. “While providing a safe environment for families to trick-or-treat, we’re also happy to help our neighbors by collecting food items and inviting attendees to learn more about the many services Medical City Alliance offers to improve their health.”

Hosted since the hospital opened in 2015, Spooktacular has welcomed up to 3,000 community attendees annually. Even though it was converted to a socially-distanced drive-through event during the pandemic, the event still attracted nearly 2,000 people each year in 2020 and 2021.

Spooktacular participants are also encouraged to dress up in costumes, with prizes for the best kids’ costumes to be awarded hourly. Other attractions will include a scavenger hunt, photos with a fire truck and a medical transport helicopter, face painters, clowns and community voting on the hospital staff's creative pumpkin decorating contest.
