Luxury labor and delivery rooms

The labor and delivery unit is on the second floor of our hospital. Comprehensive, family-centered care is provided to expectant parents in cozy yet spacious birthing suites outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment. New parents are provided the opportunity to bond with their infant after birth in this nurturing environment. Additionally, family members may visit before and after the delivery process as mom chooses.

Postpartum mother-baby unit

After baby is born, the new family is moved to the third floor of the patient tower to the mother-baby unit to be cared for in one of our 26 private postpartum rooms—a wonderful place to bond with your new baby.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, healthy moms and babies should remain together as much as possible after birth, so we encourage each mom to keep her baby with her. To that end, we practice a mother-baby model of care to support this—one nurse cares for both mother and baby, allowing better education and communication.

Luxury postpartum suites

In addition to the standard private rooms, we also have two luxury suites available. Each luxury suite includes a private area for mom. You have the option of opening up the room to spend time with your family or closing it off for privacy. The area includes a glider for rocking your baby, as well as a flat screen TV. Parents will receive the treat of a gourmet meal, and mom can be pampered with goodies provided in a spa gift basket.

Feeling relaxed and fresh has never been easier in a lavish spa-like bathroom with features, including a vanity area, travertine tile and a roomy shower. A living area allows you to invite your family or guests to enjoy the kitchenette and pantry stocked with snacks, a flat-screen TV, wireless internet and sleeping accommodations for overnight guests.

Newborn nursery

Located on the third floor of the patient tower near the mother-baby unit is the newborn nursery. This unit features a sophisticated infant security system designed to monitor your baby until they are discharged from the hospital. The nursery is staffed 24/7 with specially trained nurses to accommodate newborns requiring close monitoring or when mom is unable to care for them.

Additionally, your newborn will have access to high-risk care with a 24/7, in-house neonatologist or neonatal nurse practitioner, and, if necessary, an on-site Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), keeping mother and child together.

Family life education

As you get closer to your baby's birth, you may have questions about giving birth and parenting. Specialized nurses and educators teach our childbirth preparation classes, which are designed to help ease the fear of the unknown that many first-time expectant parents experience.

The following classes are taught at our hospital:
