John Walker
Chief Executive Officer
John Walker, ACHE, joined Medical City Lewisville as chief executive officer in October 2022.
Prior to this role, Walker served as chief operating officer at Medical City Denton where his steady leadership, focus on exceptional quality, dedication to physician collaboration and colleague support, and vision for strategic growth contributed to facility-wide enhancements. During his tenure, the Level II Trauma Center earned recognition for outstanding patient care and quality, including a Leapfrog Group "A" safety rating.
Walker began his career with Medical City Healthcare in 2011 as an administrative resident at Medical City McKinney and served in progressive leadership roles at Medical City McKinney and Medical City Dallas.
He holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University, along with a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in finance, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Texas Tech University.
Walker is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a 2013 inductee to the Garland Sports Hall of Fame for tennis.
Ken Stevens
Chief Operating Officer
Ken Stevens joined Medical City Lewisville as chief operating officer in June 2023.
As COO, Stevens provides leadership and direct administrative oversight of strategic planning for business development and project management resulting in service growth, improvements in patient outcomes and advanced patient and physician satisfaction.
A proven leader, Stevens served previously as vice president of operations at Medical City Frisco since 2020. There he provided operational oversight of ancillary functions, construction and real estate, which included the build and opening of a $91 million patient tower in 2022. Stevens also oversaw many of the hospital's services including cardiology, general surgery/colorectal and bariatric services, among others. Stevens began his career with Medical City Healthcare in 2011 as a financial analyst at Medical City Arlington before a return to supply chain and operations.
Stevens holds a Master of Health Care Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Texas Tech University.
Emily Sneed
Chief Nursing Officer
Emily Sneed, MSN, RN, PCCN, NEA-BC, was named chief nursing officer (CNO) for Medical City Lewisville in November 2023. In this role, Sneed oversees the nursing practice and operations for all facility nurses and ancillary care services.
Prior to this role, Sneed served as ACNO of Medical City Plano since June 2022. She began her HCA Healthcare career as a registered nurse at Medical City Plano in 2009. She has served in progressive leadership roles, including nurse educator, assistant nurse manager, nurse manager and nurse director.
Sneed earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Missouri State University. She has been awarded the D Magazine Excellence in Nursing Award and recognized as a DFW Great 100 Nurse.
Rhonda Boots
Chief Financial Officer
Rhonda Boots was named chief financial officer (CFO) of Medical City Lewisville in Oct. 2024.
In this role, Boots oversees several departments, including finance, patient access, health information management, case management, rehabilitation, revenue integrity, IT&S and supply chain.
With more than two decades of financial leadership experience, Boots served previously as the interim CFO of HCA Healthcare's Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, CA, and as the ACFO of HCA Healthcare's Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, since February 2022. In these roles, she helped lead accounting processes and capital projects, including project development for freestanding emergency departments, among other responsibilities. Boots began her finance career in 2000.
Kara Eastom
Vice President of Human Resources
Kara Eastom has served as the senior HR business partner at Medical City Dallas, Medical City Heart and Spine Hospitals and Medical City Women’s Hospital Dallas since February 2022. During her tenure, Eastom was an instrumental part of the HR team, partnering with leaders to meet colleagues' needs.
Eastom began her career with Medical City Healthcare in June 2005 as a postpartum nurse. She has held roles as the parent education supervisor, nurse recruiter, HR business partner and manager of resident onboarding and retention.
Eastom earned a Master of Science in Nursing with an Emphasis in Nursing Leadership in Healthcare Systems from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Langston University in Tulsa, OK. She obtained her Nursing Professional Development board certification (NPD-BC) in 2019 from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and has been named a DFW Great 100 Nurse.
Mandy Gregg
Vice President of Quality
Mandy Gregg has served as the Director of Quality since 2022 and has worked at MCDN since 2007. She started her nursing career, in Denton, on the Medical Unit where she advanced to Charge Nurse and later to Clinical Supervisor. In that role, she was a key leader in the implementation of the electronic health record system. In October of 2015, Gregg transitioned to the Quality Department; first as a Quality Analysts and then as Quality Coordinator. In 2020, she began serving as MCDN’s Quality Manager. Gregg has been integral in the implementation of our Journey to Excellence program and all aspects of survey readiness, which prepared MCDN colleagues, for a successful Triennial Joint Commission Survey and Stroke specific Joint Commission Survey.
Gregg received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and is a Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN). She is a graduate of HCA’s Quality University and Leadership Institute Academy.
Gary Fullerton
Assistant Vice President of Operations
Gary Fullerton, MBA, RN, FACHE, NEA-BC, CEN, LP, is the Assistant Vice President of Operations at Medical City Lewisville and joined the executive leadership team in 2015.
As Operations AVP, Fullerton oversees service line growth, project management, and administrative and financial direction for perioperative services, facilities, pharmacy, food & nutritional services, laboratory and environmental services.
Fullerton has more than 20 years of emergency services experience in progressive leadership roles at Medical City Healthcare. His clinical experience is in emergency services, where he successful led the teams to achieve accreditations in Chest Pain, Stroke and Trauma. He also led the opening of the first Medical City Healthcare freestanding emergency department with an attached outpatient imaging center in North Texas: Medical City ER Flower Mound.
Fullerton earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Arlington and a master's degree in healthcare business administration from Texas Woman's University. He is a licensed paramedic, a registered nurse and certified emergency nurse, and a certified nurse executive. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the North Texas Organization of Nurse Executives.
Outside of the hospital, Fullerton has served his community on the medical team at Valley Creek Church and as a board member at Grace Place Properties.
Taylor Collins
Administrative Director of Nursing Operations
Taylor Collins began her nursing career 16 years ago and has held multiple nurse leadership positions over the last 10 years. She earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University.
Collins most recently served as the Director of Medical Surgical Services and Clinical Operations at Methodist Charlton Medical Center. She is passionate about the development of leaders and their teams. During her time at Methodist, Collins implemented collaborative councils for the telemetry techs, clinical team leads, and nurse clinical coordinators. She was also successful in leading numerous initiatives to decrease HAIs and improve care experience in her departments.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees of Medical City Lewisville furthers the mission of the hospital by ensuring high-quality, equitable patient care in coordination with hospital leadership, advising on community needs and advocating on behalf of the hospital. Trustees represent key civic, corporate and philanthropic leaders from the greater Denton County community.
