Children's hospital ER services in Dallas, Texas
Medical City Children's Hospital ER offers full-service pediatric emergency care. We understand that kids need special care, which is why our pediatric ER is completely separate from the adult emergency room. By keeping the treatment rooms for children separate, we’re able to provide a more soothing environment.
Our 40,000-square foot pediatric ER features cheerful colors, play areas, televisions and an interactive gaming station to help our little patients stay calm and keep their siblings occupied. Our goal is to provide immediate bedding, which means you and your child will be taken directly to a private room as soon as one is available.
Pediatricians and pediatric nurses use medical equipment specially designed for children. We also have a dedicated child life team, providing support for families and information in a way children can comprehend. If a hospital stay is needed, we’ll register your child at his or her bedside so you won’t have to leave the room to be admitted to the hospital.

Getting pediatric ER care
Patients arriving for the ER at Medical City Children's Hospital can follow marked signs to enter the hospital campus at the intersection of Park Central Drive and Merit Drive. Medical City Children's Hospital's ER shares space with the ER at Medical City Dallas, but the adult and pediatric patients have separate waiting and treating rooms.
Street and garage parking is available throughout the hospital campus, and there is a parking garage directly adjacent to the ER entrance. Garage and lot parking is $1 per hour or $4 for an entire day. Street parking is metered.
