Family-centered imaging center
In addition to advanced imaging services, our diagnostic imaging center offers family-centered, compassionate care. For most exams, we encourage parents to stay in the room with their children. This comforts parents and makes children more calm and cooperative.
Pediatric medical imaging services
Some of the diagnostic imaging services we provide to children include:
Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
The imaging center is equipped with the most advanced CT and MRI technology available. State-of-the-art equipment reduces the amount of radiation received by pediatric patients.
Fluoroscopy
We have a pediatric fluoroscopy machine, which includes additional filters that adult fluoroscopy machines do not have. These filters reduce your child's exposure to radiation.
X-ray
Our X-ray machine is digital, meaning there is less radiation used than with traditional X-ray or computed radiography (CR), all done in a dedicated pediatric environment by staff that have gone through special training.
Arriving at our diagnostic imaging center
Because we your time, our pediatric imaging center has streamlined patient registration and scheduling and offers a smooth pre-certification process.
Pediatric imaging check-in is located on the first floor of the Children’s Hospital, near the "ant farm." For any pediatric patient receiving sedation for their exam, registration is located on the second floor of the Children’s Hospital at the "beehive."
Parking validation is complimentary.
