Expert care by trauma surgeons
Major trauma refers to serious injuries that require immediate intervention to prevent disability or death. Minor trauma refers to an injury that does not pose a threat to life or limb and can be appropriately treated at a basic ER.
As an Advanced Level III Trauma Center, designated by the Texas Department of State Health Services, we have specialized resources to manage major and severe injuries. The team of board-certified trauma surgeons, specialists and nurses receive specialized training in trauma care. We have surgeons on-call 24/7 who can be at the hospital within 30 minutes of notification to ensure prompt surgical trauma care.
Our trauma center has established relationships with local Emergency Medical Service (EMS) providers for pre-arrival notification, appropriate documentation and excellent pre-hospital care.
