About our emergency department
Our comprehensive emergency services are designed to quickly and thoroughly address your medical needs. We prioritize your health and comfort every step of the way.
Our emergency services
Bringing together board-certified physicians, experienced nurses and on-call specialists, our ER provides a wide range of services, including:
- Angioplasty - A heart attack occurs when a blood clot blocks a coronary artery, cutting off blood flow to part of your heart. The treatment may involve angioplasty to open the blocked artery.
- Bypass surgery - Bypass surgery restores blood flow to your heart following a heart attack.
- Mechanical ventilation - When breathing becomes difficult, such as during ARDS, mechanical ventilation helps you breathe.
- Skin grafting - During this surgical procedure, healthy skin is transferred from one part of the body to another to heal wounds or replace damaged skin.
Emergency imaging tests
Following an injury or health event, you may need imaging tests, which can show damage inside your joint and help diagnose other injuries. Some of the imaging exams we most commonly perform in the emergency department include:
- Ultrasounds - Also known as sonography, ultrasounds are used to create images of soft tissue structures using sound waves. They can also measure the flow of blood in the arteries to detect blockages. A technologist with specialized training in ultrasound works closely with a radiologist to interpret ultrasound images to help diagnose and treat certain conditions.
- X-rays - Digital X-rays are a form of radiation used to create images of the bone and soft tissue structures. This is a quick and painless non-invasive procedure that allows your radiologist to diagnose internal conditions.
