Ben Coogan
Ben Coogan was named chief executive officer at Medical City Plano with reporting oversight of Medical City Frisco in 2023. Together, both hospitals comprise over 700 acute care beds and 3,000 employees.
Coogan’s healthcare career spans nearly two decades, with leadership roles in several Medical City Healthcare facilities. Coogan previously served as CEO of Medical City Fort Worth since 2021, where his leadership contributed to the successful launch of new services including the expansion of solid organ transplant services. He also led more than $30 million facility expansion and capital projects. Prior to joining Medical City Fort Worth, Ben served as chief operating officer at Medical City Dallas, Medical City Children’s Hospital and Medical City Arlington.
Coogan holds a Bachelor of Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration in Health Services Management from the University of North Texas. He is a board member of the American Heart Association and an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Chadi Awad, Chief Nursing Officer
Chadi Awad, MBA, RN, MSN, ACNP-BC, NEA-BC, was named chief nursing officer (CNO) for Medical City Plano, Medical City Frisco, and Medical City Sachse – a campus of Medical City Plano in March 2024.
Chadi has more than two decades of nursing experience, of which 14 years are in a leadership role. He previously served as the CNO for Methodist Hospital Metropolitan since 2019, and prior to that was the associate chief nursing officer.
Chadi is a 2018 recipient of the Best 25 Nurses in South Central Texas from the South-Central Texas Organization of Nurse Executives (SCTONE), which he also served as president elect of SCTONE from 2020-2022. He has practiced as an acute care nurse in the field of advanced liver disease and completed a one-year fellowship with the American Association of the Study of Liver Disease.
Jonathan Clarke, MD
Jonathan Clarke, MD, joined Medical City Plano as chief medical officer (CMO) in October 2023. In this role, Dr. Clarke oversees quality, patient safety, risk management, infection prevention and medical staff services. He also provides clinical direction to physicians and clinicians at Medical City Frisco, a department of Medical City Plano.
A U.S. Navy and Air Force veteran with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, Dr. Clarke is an accomplished physician leader, healthcare executive and entrepreneur who brings diverse experiences and perspectives to Medical City Plano's executive team. He previously served as CMO of HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast. Prior to that, he served as a regional medical director for Envision Healthcare in Dallas, where he led significant improvements in quality measures as well as accreditation and reaccreditation of chest pain, stroke and trauma programs.
Board-certified in emergency medicine, Dr. Clarke is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP). He also earned an MBA in Healthcare Management from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas. He earned his medical degree from the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami in 2002.
Jordan Allred
Jordan Allred is the chief development officer (CDO) for Medical City Plano, Medical City Frisco, and Medical City Sachse - a campus of Medical City Plano since December 2023.
As CDO, Jordan is responsible for overall business development and strategy for all campuses. He previously served as vice president of development and operations for Medical City Children’s Hospital and Medical City Women’s Hospital Dallas since January 2022. Prior to this, Jordan served as director of physician services for Medical City Healthcare’s Physician Services Group.
Originally from North Carolina, Jordan earned a Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Appalachian State University.
Brad Stein
Brad Stein was named Chief Financial Officer for Medical City Plano in June 2020. He previously served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Staffing Officer at Medical City McKinney.
Prior to joining the leadership team at Medical City McKinney, he was the Assistant Chief Financial Officer and Chief Staffing Officer for Chippenham & Johnston-Wills Hospitals, an HCA facility in Richmond, Virginia. As ACFO, Stein played a critical role in supporting the two-campus, 758-bed hospital system through expense management and service line growth and securing capital funds for two large emergency room projects.
He has also served as Director of Hospital Financial Operations for St. Vincent's Health System in Birmingham, Alabama. Stein began his career at Ernest & Young in their Assurance & Advisory Business Services after completing his training.
