Inpatient services for senior adults

At Medical City McKinney, we recognize the need to understand specific needs of our aging population. As we grow older, emerging health declines and loss of autonomy can lead to confusion and frustration.

We are here to help navigate this challenging time. We are empathetic to our senior patients and have created an environment of community, healing, and hope for those in their golden years. We have created age-specific treatment strategies that are tailor-made to meet the needs of our seniors.

The senior inpatient treatment program at Medical City McKinney is specialized to meet the needs of patients age 55 and older. We provide treatment services which address issues that are related to aging in conjunction with behavioral health concerns.

Our treatment team has extensive experience working with senior adults who are experiencing behavioral health diagnoses and common co-occurring medical issues.

In addition, we understand how positive family dynamics play a large role in the overall mental and physical wellness of our senior patients. Patients and families alike receive education on specific disorders, medications, and effective coping strategies.
