Orthopedic services at our hospital
If you have a debilitating injury or chronic pain, you know that movement is not something to be taken for granted. To help your body move through life with as little pain as possible, we work to be a trusted source of restorative orthopedic care.
Personalized joint care
Before orthopedic treatment can begin, we must diagnose your condition. This typically begins with a physical exam and a round of diagnostic tests, such as X-rays. Once a diagnosis has been reached, your doctor might recommend medication, an exercise program or surgery.
If surgery is needed, it can often be performed as a same-day, outpatient procedure. Following surgery, your doctor may recommend specialized postoperative physical therapy, which can help restore movement, strength and function.
Orthopedic services available at our hospital include:
- Anterior cervical discectomy and fusions (ACDF)
- Hip replacement and knee replacement
- Posterior lumbar laminectomy and discectomy
- Fracture care
- Joint repair and replacement
- Spine care
- Treatment for bone tumors and skeletal birth abnormalities
Specialized spine program
Back injuries, spine conditions or nerve compression can interfere with your daily life, but relief is possible. Our hospital has expanded its orthopedic services to include advanced spine surgery, offering convenient access to advanced care without traveling into the metroplex.
This program offers posterior lumbar laminectomy and discectomy, where part of the vertebra and damaged disc material is removed. In doing so, we can relieve pressure on spinal nerves, reduce pain and improve mobility.
We also offer the ACDF procedure, which treats herniated discs in the neck by removing the damaged disc and stabilizing the spine with a small implant. This helps restore function and reduce nerve irritation.
