Medical City Plano visitation guidelines
Visiting hours
Visiting hours are generally 7:00 am – 9:00 pm, except in the ICU, labor and delivery, and neonatal ICU.
ICU is closed daily from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm – 8:00 am to allow for certain aspects of patient care.
Mom/Baby (Postpartum) observe Serenity Time from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm daily to encourage quiet rest and healing for patients. This is a period of time of low stimulation with few or no interruptions. Family and visitors are asked not to visit patients during this time.
A parent or guardian must remain with patients under 18 years old at all times.
Two visitors are allowed per patient at a time for most units. Additional visitors may wait in designated waiting areas. Labor and delivery patients may have 1 adult overnight visitor. If a patient is actively in labor overnight, they may have 2 visitors at the bedside. In Postpartum to promote patient recovery, children younger than 16 cannot visit or stay in room without another adult to supervise them, even for a short time. Only 1 adult visitor can stay overnight with patient, unless in a suite.
Please respect quiet hours and patient privacy during your visit.
