Visiting Hours
General Patients: 7:00am - 9:00pm
Visitors are limited to 2 per room. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Serenity Time is held from 2:00pm – 4:00pm each day to encourage quiet rest and healing for the patient. This is a period of time of low stimulation with few or no interruptions. Family and friends are asked not to visit patients during this time.
Critical Care Unit:
The CCU has Family Centered Visiting but we ask that no more than 2 visitors are in the room at one time. No children under the age of 12 are allowed. Family members and / or friends cannot sleep or eat at the patient bedside. The CCU is closed daily from 10:00pm – 8:00am and from 6:00pm – 8:00pm to allow time for certain aspects of patient care.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit:
Parents, grandparents, significant others, and siblings over the age of 2 are welcome to visit the NICU at any time except from 6:30am – 7:30am and 6:30pm – 7:30pm All visitors must sign in at the nurses' station. Children under the age of 12 must be screened by a staff member prior to visiting.

Free Parking & Valet
Free patient and visitor parking is available at both the North and South entrances of the Main Hospital. Free valet parking is available at the entrance of Doctor's Office Building 1 (facing Coit) from 7:00am - 5:00pm, the Emergency Room entrance from 9:00am - 5:00pm, and the South Main entrance (15th street entrance) from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Bank Machines
For your convenience, an automatic teller machine is available in the main hospital lobby near the Coit Street Café.
Food and Snacks
The following establishments are available within the hospital for meals and snacks:
- Coit Street Café - The hospital cafeteria is located on the first floor, adjacent to the South Main Lobby. The café offers sandwiches, hot meals, a salad bar and a grill menu. The café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner most days. Hours of operation are posted on the cafeteria door.
- Frulatti Café - Located in the North Atrium Lobby near Registration, Frulatti's offers fruit smoothies, cookies, muffins, soups, salads and sandwiches. Extended hours are available on evenings and weekends.
Vending machines are located next to the Coit Street Café and in the Atrium Lobby near Radiology Registration.
Gift Shop
Lori's Hospital Gift Shop offers small gifts, magazines, candy and various items. Located in the Atrium Lobby, the shop is open from 9:00am - 8:00pm Monday - Friday, and from 10:00am - 6:00pm Saturday, and 11:00am – 3:00pm Sunday. To order flowers for a patient through the gift shop, call (972) 519-1270 .
Guest Meal Trays
Family members may order a guest tray to be delivered to the patient's room during regular meal service hours at an additional cost. Please ask your nurse how to purchase a guest meal tray.
The Healing Garden
A peaceful garden setting in which to relax and escape the clinical environment is located west of the 15th Street entrance. Patients, family members and visitors are invited to use the garden as a retreat during their visit.
Internet Access
Wireless (Wi-Fi) Internet access is available throughout the hospital, including patient rooms and public areas, free of charge for the convenience of our patients and guests. To log onto the network simply select Guest_Access from any wireless device and click agree to join the network. The network does not require a password or username.
Pastoral Care
Illness often turns one's attention to spiritual matters. The Hospital Chapel is located on the first floor in the Atrium Lobby next to the gift shop. The Chapel is open at all times to every denomination. A Hospital Chaplain is available throughout the week and may be requested by calling the Hospital Operator. In addition, a team of Pastoral Care Volunteers make hospital rounds throughout the week. Please tell your nurse if you would like a chaplain visit. Pathways to Healing
Weekly visits from our trained therapy dogs bring smiles to patients on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. If you would like to schedule a therapy dog visit, contact the Volunteer Department at (972) 519-1272 .
Patient Representative
A Patient Representative is available to answer questions related to hospital policies and procedures and accommodate special needs or requests during the patient's stay. The Patient Representative is also available to help you with Advanced Directives. If you have any concerns related to your hospital visit, the Patient Representative will be happy to assist you. Security
Uniformed security guards are available on the medical campus 24 hours a day for the benefit of patients and visitors. If you or your family need escort services to a parked vehicle, contact the Hospital Operator.
Valuables and Personal Belongings
We request that you leave all valuables at home. Medical City Plano does not accept responsibility for lost or stolen valuables or personal items. If necessary, your nurse can arrange to store small items in the hospital safe.
