For visitors
Read on to learn helpful information about what you can expect while visiting someone undergoing inpatient or outpatient behavioral health treatment.
Visiting our hospital
At Medical City Mental Health and Wellness Center Alliance, we encourage regular visits from family and friends. We have visitor protocols in place but want you to be part of the recovery process.
Information for our visitors
We want you to be as informed as possible before and during a visit, so the below information is for your benefit.
Visiting hours at our hospital
We encourage our patients to have visitors, and believe the more support a person struggling with mental illness has outside the hospital, the better their chances are for long-term recovery after they leave. Visits from loved ones during treatment can offer emotional support, help strengthen important relationships and set the stage for continued success. Visiting hours are as follows:
Adult in-person visiting hours — 2:30pm to 3:20pm and 3:30pm to 4:20pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
Visitation protocols
We value the recovery process and your role in it. The following visitation protocols have been designed so that we can continue to cultivate a safe, nurturing environment for all undergoing treatment. We ask that you please adhere to the following:
- Each patient is allowed a maximum of two visitors at a time
- Items brought to a patient must be checked at the nurse’s station
- No personal property is allowed on the premises, including briefcases, phones and purses
- Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in (late visitors will be rescheduled)
- Reservation required for visitation
- Visitors under 18 years old are not permitted without making prior arrangements
- Visits are limited to one hour
