Hospital Chaplain and Spiritual Care
Hospital chaplaincy services promote the healing of our patients and the welfare of our staff by extending care, compassion, and spiritual resources in a respectful and individualized way to persons of all cultural and religious heritages.
Linda Strange, Coordinator of Spiritual Care, is board certified with the Association of Professional Chaplains. She holds a master's degree in religious education from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth and a Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas. She did her Clinical Pastoral Education at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo. After her chaplain residency at Northwest Texas Hospital, Linda served as a staff chaplain at High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo. She then moved to Denton where she served as chaplain at Ann's Haven Hospice. Linda began her ministry at Medical City Denton in 1998.
The chapel is located on the first floor across from admitting. A quiet place for prayer and meditation, the chapel is open 24 hours a day.
