Dallas, Texas – Seven Medical City Healthcare hospitals have been recognized for superior OB-Gyn care by Healthgrades, a leading resource for consumers to find a hospital or physician.

Medical City Arlington, Medical City Dallas, Medical City Las Colinas, Medical City Lewisville, Medical City McKinney, Medical City Plano and Medical City Weatherford are among the top hospitals nationally that were assessed and validated for providing outstanding quality OB-Gyn outcomes.

The awards recognize exceptional performance by hospitals for obstetrics and gynecology, labor and delivery and gynecologic surgery. Each of the seven Medical City Healthcare hospitals received a 5-star rating indicating that patient outcomes are statistically significantly better than expected in that category when treating the condition or performing the evaluated procedure.

“These honors recognize our expert clinicians’ dedication to high quality, compassionate care and add to the many reasons why Medical City Healthcare hospitals are the destination of choice for women’s care in North Texas,” says Allen Harrison, president of Medical City Healthcare.

Medical City McKinney in December will join Medical City Arlington and Medical City Dallas with the opening of a dedicated women’s hospital. Additionally, a comprehensive Maternal Fetal Institute at Medical City Children’s Hospital provides the region’s highest level of prenatal diagnosis and the full spectrum of fetal surgical procedures for unborn babies with complex and life-threatening birth defects. Nine Medical City Healthcare hospitals are “A” rated for safety by the Leapfrog Group and 6 hospitals hold prestigious Magnet Recognized® designations on 10 campuses from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

“Healthgrades congratulates Medical City Healthcare for being a national leader and demonstrating a deep commitment to providing high-quality Ob-Gyn care,” says Brad Bowman, MD, chief medical officer, Healthgrades. “As health systems nationwide endeavor to elevate their quality of care, these elite facilities are leading the way. We commend these hospitals for their dedication to excellence in Ob-Gyn care.”
