Program Duration

The program is a full-time course of instruction which shall be a minimum of 36 months in duration. A minimum of 33 months must include supervised management of patients (clinical rotations).

Curriculum/Core Rotations

The following are the prescribed rotations at Medical City Weatherford for a three-year program:

PGY2:

  • General Dermatology - 6 months
  • Dermatopathology - 2 months
  • Medical Dermatology - 2 months
  • Electives - 2 months

PGY3:

  • General Dermatology - 4 months
  • Dermatopathology - 2 months
  • Medical Dermatology - 2 months
  • Dermatological Surgery (Mohs) - 2 months
  • Electives - 2 months

PGY4:

  • General Dermatology - 2 months
  • Dermatopathology - 2 months
  • Medical Dermatology - 2 months
  • Dermatological Surgery (Mohs) - 2 months
  • Cosmetic Surgery - 2 months
  • Electives - 2 months

The general dermatology service at Medical City Weatherford allows for exposure to a broad spectrum of skin conditions among the patients in the different practices in the area. Residents will work alongside the attending physician.
