Here are some ways you can help

We realize these are unprecedented times for our community as we all work to reduce the effects of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, and truly appreciate the generous outpouring of support.

Keep yourself and others healthy

Stay home whenever possible, wash your hands often and practice social distancing by staying at least six feet away from others. Follow these and all of the guidelines set forth by local, state and federal public health officials including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as we work to slow the spread of the virus.

Send a message to our caregivers

If you or your child would like to send a message of thanks and encouragement or draw a picture for our physicians, nurses and caregivers, we would love to hear from you! Please take a photo of your note or artwork and email it to us. Thanks, in advance, for showing your support to these heroes who are doing what they do best – caring like family!

Make a PPE donation*

If you are interested in making a large donation (more than one pallet) of commercially manufactured personal protective equipment (PPE), please send an email to us. Please include detailed information about the type of product(s), quantity, location and contact information.

If you are interested in making a smaller donation of PPE, such as gloves and masks in their original packaging, please drop them off at your local Medical City facility (listed below). A collection bin will be available curbside at the main entrance.

In addition, we will be collecting homemade masks for our community partners. Please note that homemade masks cannot currently be used in a medical setting but we are pleased to donate them to the North Texas Food Bank and the Tarrant Area Food Bank as they help those struggling with hunger in our communities.

Donate blood

If you are interested in helping our community in others ways, we urge you to consider making a blood donation through the American Red Cross or Carter BloodCare as our nation’s blood supplies are critically low.

Donate money

If you would like to help the underserved in our community during this time, please consider making a financial contribution directly to your favorite non-profit organization or to one of our community’s COVID-19 response funds that will help numerous non-profits support those in need:

Donations can also be made to the HCA Hope Fund, which helps Medical City Healthcare colleagues during times of financial stress, or to organizations such as the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas that are providing childcare at a reduced rate for healthcare workers, emergency responders and others on the front lines during this time.

Donate food

If you would like to donate food or money to buy food for those in need, please consider making a donation to the North Texas Food Bank or the Tarrant Area Food Bank to help those struggling with hunger during this difficult period. Learn more about Medical City Healthcare’s recent announcement of a $100,000 grant to fight hunger.

If you are interested in providing food for our caregivers, thank you for your generous offer of support.* Please send an email to us with detailed information including your name, contact information, meal to be donated, quantity, date and if you have a preference of location. Gift cards to restaurants can also be accepted. (Please note that all donated food must be individually packaged and must be prepared by a restaurant with a commercial-grade kitchen. At this time, we are unable to accept food prepared by individuals or local catering companies.)

Thank you for your support!

*Please note that donations to Medical City Healthcare and/or any of our facilities are not tax-deductible and receipts will not be given.
