About Medical City Healthcare's RN Resource Float Pool

Our Elite Nursing Resource Float Pool Team provides care to a variety of patients throughout our Hospitals. Our Resource Float Pool nurses deliver professional nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, including our Emergency Rooms, Critical Care units, NICU, Labor and Delivery / Antepartum units, CVOR, or Acute Care floors. We are looking for a Registered Nurse that is interested in working with a diverse group of patients in a role that allows for developing additional Nursing skills. Position Levels, Shift Requirements, & Rate of Pay

PRN I 3 1 Major and 1 Minor/Difficult to staff 2 weekend shifts per 4-week period $47/hr
PRN II 4 2 Major and 1 Minor/Difficult to staff 2 weekend shifts per 4-week period $50/hr
Full-time 6 2 Major and 2 Minor/Difficult to staff 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule $45/hr

Weekend Shifts & Requirements

  • Full-time staff are expected to work four weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
  • PRN staff are expected to work two weekend shifts per 4-week period.
  • Position Requirements

    • BSN Required within 24 months of hire
    • Current Texas RN License (Compact License is accepted; however, must obtained RN License in the State of Texas within the first 90 days.)

    • Current Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
    • TNCC and ENPC required within 90 days of hire.
    • SAMA training required within 6 months of hire.
    • Minimum two years’ experience in acute care hospital with minimum one year in the Emergency Room.

    • Current Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
    • Minimum two years’ experience in acute care hospital with minimum one year in Critical Care.
    • Experienced caring for patients with an intra-aortic balloon pump, continuous renal replacement therapy and/or temperature management devices (intra-vascular or surface) strongly preferred.

    • Current Healthcare Provider BLS and NRP issued by the American Heart Association required.
    • Specialty certification in High Risk Neonatal Nursing preferred.
    • Minimum two (2) years’ experience of recent level III NICU required.

    • Current Healthcare Provider BLS, ACLS and NRP issued by the American Heart Association required.
    • Fetal heart monitoring, AWHONN and other HCA required courses for L&D nurses in accordance with department education schedule.
    • Minimum two years’ of recent Labor & Delivery and Antepartum experience required.

    • Current Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
    • CNOR Certification preferred.
    • Minimum three (3) years’ experience. Two (2) years of recent Cardiovascular OR experience, in addition to one (1) year of general OR experience required.

    • Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
    • Minimum two years’ experience in acute care hospital with minimum one year in a specialty area.
