ARLINGTON Medical City ER Red Oak, a department of Medical City Arlington, is marking the first week of 2021 by celebrating one year of service to the Red Oak community.

Medical City ER Red Oak, a 24/7 full-service emergency room staffed with board certified emergency physicians, has provided vital emergency services to the Red Oak community since January 7, 2020. The facility, which opened just prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, is the first emergency department in Red Oak and has been the destination of choice for Ellis County residents ever since.

The 10,840 square foot emergency department includes:

  • 12 private patient treatment rooms
  • A trauma room
  • Full laboratory
  • Radiology suite with X-ray and CT imaging

On-call specialists and consultation services are provided by Medical City Arlington medical staff, with seamless admission to the hospital for inpatient services should a higher level of care be required. In addition, Medical City Healthcare’s first Ellis County location includes an additional 10,000 square feet of medical office space for Solis Mammography, primary care physicians and other specialists.

Medical City ER Red Oak is part of a major capital investment initiative of more than $1.8 billion spent or committed over four years across the Medical City Healthcare system. Investments include expansion and improvements to existing hospitals, new services trauma, oncology, behavioral healthcare, upgraded technology and the purchase and construction of new facilities.
